Historic Tests from the Eiffel Tower to the Seattle Tower
In 1931 , Wyler Vetta launched his “ ratchet ” watch from the first platform of the Eiffel Tower (53m). A notary certified the functioning of the movement protected by INCAFLEX. Although the glass splintered, the movement continued to function perfectly.
In 1956 , a second launch was made, again from the top of the Eiffel Tower , this time of the Dynastar model. During the construction of the Space Needle in Seattle, another model, the Dynawind, was launched for the 1962 EXPO.
These exceptional watch drop tests were a spectacular demonstration of Wyler Vetta's reliability and endurance under extreme conditions.
Einstein and Wyler Peak
In 1944, Albert Einstein, a refugee in America, falls into the water in Central Park. He is wearing a Wyler watch on his wrist. After verifying the functionality of the watch, he writes a letter to Wyler Corp. in New York, thanking them for producing a waterproof and functional watch, a feature that was not at all obvious at the time.
